Wallets Guide

Overview

On the BlockWyre platform, wallets are public addresses associated with each currency that allow account holders to receive and manage their digital assets securely. Once an account has passed the KYC process, it can operate with cryptocurrencies.

Tenant inventory (V3): members manage deposit-wallet inventory via GET/PATCH /v3/wallets and GET /v3/wallets/stats (TypeID wlt_…, optional ?include=customer). Creating a wallet remains POST /api/v2/crypto/wallets.

Wallet Flow

1. Requesting a List of Wallets

  • Action: The account holder requests the list of wallets by sending the accountId for the account that will receive the deposit.
  • Endpoint: GET /api/v2/crypto/wallets
  • Response: A list of wallet addresses associated with the account.

2. Sharing the Wallet Address

  • Action: Once the wallet address is obtained, the account holder can share it to receive the transfer.
  • Resulting State: The wallet address is shared with the sender of the transfer.

3. Transfer Detection

  • Action: When a transfer is detected, the crypto_transaction_received webhook is sent.
  • Webhook: crypto_transaction_received
  • Resulting State: The transfer is detected, and the wallet balance is updated.

4. Transaction Status Update

  • Action: Each transaction status change is sent via the crypto_transaction_status_updated webhook.
  • Webhook: crypto_transaction_status_updated
  • Resulting State: The transaction status is updated and notified to the account holder.
